Hiya Maggie & Andy, haven't been on for awhile, I was watching National Geographic last nite on the telly, they had the Cowal games on with 2 brothers from the states participating. Was really nice to see Dunoon again with a walk down Argyll street and the brothers purchasing kilts at Bell's. The 2 Yanks did not do well at all against the Scots. Cheerio

moschmo wrote on Apr 25, '09
Thanks Mags! Is the castle house museum online at all? A few of the places I'm interested in finding pics of- the Smith Family fairground in an old airplain hangar; Mary & Mickey Burke's shops, a farm- at the end of her road owned by Jonny Lamont where they would go "tatty houking". (I don't see that this would be the end of Valrose Terr where they lived, but probably not far from there). A pic of the old Dunoon Grammar School, and if possible a pic of the houses on Valrose. I'll check the other sites you've mentioned, also!
